The Compass Group decided to launch a new initiative called "Thinking Ahead / Giving Back" which we also developed with them. Thinking Ahead is a focused strategy for achieving the business objectives as they relate to revenue and financial performance. Setting benchmarks with our clients and working towards a common goal. Giving Back addresses their goal to work with our clients on contributing in our communities in a meaningful and measurable way.
Within the "Thinking Ahead / Giving Back" program there was an opportunity to re-brand cafeteria spaces at the University of Ottawa. This re-brand was called "Mind Body Soul" and focuses on the ways in which food items can support cognitive function, physical health, and comfort the consumer.
I took design cues from the world of videogames (health and skill bars) and sports wearables (achievement bars) then Expanded on a visual language the students will be familiar with so the logo communicates the core strength of the MBS program
The design allows for secondary use as an infographic, making it easy for students to balance their nutritional needs and supports recognition through ongoing exposure
